No run is complete without music in your ears to nudge you forward to the finishing line. The Music Run is back this year with louder and more heart-thumping beats on 23 April 2016 at Sentosa. Runners can ditch the headphones and run to the 120 concert speakers dotted along the 5k run. Designed specially for this year’s run, each 1k zone along the running course will pump 150,000 watts of music known as ‘The Sound Track’ with different music genre for different music zones - rock, pop, old school, hip hop and dance.

The biggest night race in Singapore is happening on the 28th of May 2016 at the F1 pit building. Now in its 9th edition, the ever popular running event features Soh Rui Yong (SEA games 2015 marathon gold medallist) racing along an expected 30,000 runners this year. So lace up your running shoes and break your limits at this year’s Sundown Marathon.

Latest to join the Puma Ignite shoes series is the Ultimate. To prove that they are fit for mere couch potatoes to wear, we were invited to put them on and dragged to an evening run as part of the product launch.

Yeaps, its the Men's Health Urbanathlon 2016 alright. Back like a drug which you swore never to take again. *throws away Panadol*  but you just take it back in year after year. Step out of your comfort (office) zone and put your limits to the test – in what will be a bigger and tougher road race that has become a mainstay in every active Singaporean’s calendar.

The inaugural One Piece Run 2016 is happening on 6 March 2016 at the Kallang Practice Track. A first for Southeast Asia, Singapore is the second Asian country to host the run after Taiwan.

The Energizer Singapore Night Trail is back yet again and registration is now open! If you fancy taking part in this unique run in the wilderness of Mandai on Saturday, 2nd May 2015, read more to find out how you can win yourself a pair of running slots to this race! What better way to spend your long weekend than to explore the Mandai area at night. *wink*

The last time we checked, Future Music Festival Asia (or FMFA for short) did not manage to get its permit to wow the crowd here in Singapore, citing potential drug related offences. But hey, here's another (running) festival you might want to go for if you're looking for some space to paaartaaay! Don't say we never jio.

Out of the many brave souls we have in the community, two were selected to represent (and take photos for) SingaSports.com in this year's Men's Health Urbanathlon 2015. Posssibly the most hyped obstacles-race event this half of the year, the two men ran, jumped and climbed their way to the finishing line. But was it a race worth going for? Here's what one of the urbanathlete has to say:

With more than 70 runs last year (2014) alone (seriously?!), runners are spoilt for choice in selecting a run that they would like to participate in. I mean come on, not everyone has deep pockets to take part in ALL the runs in Singapore ALL the time. Even if they are, they would have to have Batman-like stamina to complete all of them.
